Antiques are the 'in 'thing at present i.e ,Bargain Hunt' 'Antique road show' .So are we 'The elderly population' also antiques'waiting for some TLC a polish up?

Reminds me of something that happened when I was quite a little girl just before the war started. There was a knock on the front door and my father went to open it. A chap stood there saying that he was willing to pay good money for antiques.
This was to my father, who had a devilish sense of humour, a lead for him to shout out to my mother who was in the kitchen "Mill! leave the washing up because there is a bloke here who wants to buy you." SHE WAS NOT AMUSED. :roflmao:
Her name was "Amelia" but he always called her "Millie or Mill."

Talking about antiques have any of the members got a photo of something that has been handed down through the family?
I would love to see some photos.
