Welcome to Slobsville!

Postby laurie53 » Thu Dec 28, 2017 1:56 pm

Having made a great fuss, in another thread about allays shaving, toddy, having completed my ablutions earlier I found I was out of lemonade so L pupped down too the coroner shop width two days stubble () didn't even wear a tie for Heaven's sake!

Am I on the firsts step of a very slippery slope?

We have just been down to the little Asda's on the edge of town which is our nearest shop, there were 4 little children from pushchair size to about 6yrs old + their Mum, all in PJ's and dressing gowns and a couple of the kids were in bare feet too??? they were running around screaming and pushing a trolley into anything or anybody, even the staff couldn't control them. I know one of the staff there and I asked her about them, she said they often came in like that. Laurie that is What I Call Slobsville xx

In a few years time they'll think about it and be horrified at themselves. I thought that trend was over I'm quite surprised.

I don't know about the trend being over Marieann, its the first time I have seen it in our neck of the woods. Good to see you, hope your leg is easier.

They've been debating about mothers still wearing their night clothes and driving their children to school for a long time now, dita. I don't think the teaching staff knew what to do about it but it's a while since I heard anything I haven't seen anyone dressed like that in Tesco. I hope it doesn't catch on because I know I would laugh.

I shop at Tesco and I have never seen anyone in there either Marieann, thank goodness, this was one of those small Asda stores nothing like the big one here which is the other side of town. We live in a little Hamlet with no mod cons at all apart from a postbox, it is on the outskirts of the town and our nearest shop over a couple of miles away is the one I am talking about, we just nip there for odd bits of things in between doing my online shop at Tesco.

I have, before now, had to turn the car around and go back because somebody felt "undressed" without earrings!

I can only too well imagine OH's response if I tried that!! I'd get to go home for the earrings but I'd be walking there and back!

Well it depends on distance travelled, of course.

Over three miles or so I would have the option of going straight to a jewellers and getting my card out! Experience taught me that antiques centre or similar was the best bet!
