Notwithstanding my post in "Weather"I had to go for a blood test day, so did a bit of shopping.

I was told I couldn't get a half cucumber because they are "seasonal"!

How on earth can cutting cucumber in half and putting each bit in a bag be seasonal?

I live alone and with the best will in the world I can't I can't eat a whole cucumber which means in a few days yet more waste food.
