Out for a few bits and bobs this morning I was approached by a little dot in a high vis waistcoat (accompanied by her nursery teacher,of course ) who shyly presented me with Lovely fresh daffodil bud and wished me a happy Easter.

Wasn't that nice? Quite brightened my day, as the flower will continue to do.

What a lovely surprise Laurie, such a pleasant change from being accosted by someone sat looking neglected along with their dog pleading for money. I am the first to be generous when someone is really needy but unfortunately many are better off than the folk they are begging from. That is really a lovely story thanks, and a Happy Easter To You Laurie.

Oh, that is nice. Everyone must have room in their life for a daffodil!
Reminds me of one year I was in France on 1 May. We went into a little supermarket to buy bread and cheese and fruit to make a picnic and every customer was given a little posy of lily-of-the-valley by the cashier as they left. She explained that it's a local May-day tradition and it's customary to give them to your mother, if you have one. Not having a mom handy, I went back to our hotel and begged a glass from the bar to put them in and they brightened the rest of our stay.

That was lovely laurie. Not anything I've heard of before..
