Disappointed

Postby Maywalk » Fri May 04, 2018 6:32 am

Yesterday I was all fired up to go home and by 9 am had had another relapse with my breathing and finished up on oxygen with two doctors and more antibiotics and steroids being injected into me plus having another flipping X-ray. Keep your fingers crossed for me that I will soon be OK to go home. I am hoping to be fit enough to go to the West Midlands Safari Park on the 10th.
Looks like another grim day today its so miserable out mind you its only 6-30am here so its got time to change. Have a good day everyone.

Sorry to hear you've had a relapse Frolique. Hope it gets better from now on.

Hi Michael Its a good job I have my laptop to help take away the boredom. I am just hoping that within the next couple of days I will be given the all clear. They have pumped me full of steroids and antibiotics so keeping my fingers crossed. I hope you are keeping well.
After my weather comments above the sun is struggling to shine through. I bet the two day summer will come and go while I am stuck in here and it will piddle it down with rain when I finally go home. I would not mind so much but I came in here with two broken bones in my thigh plus a chest infection but I am going home with ruddy surgical stockings on.LOL

How are the broken bones being treated Maisie? I can't imagine you having a plaster on your thigh.

I hope you get out in time to go to the safari park. x

They are hoping they seal together naturally Carol with the help of painkillers and all the antibiotics that are being pumped into me should help. I am managing to get about the room ok with the frame and wihout the exruciating pain like I had when admitted. Its my chest they are more concerned with and the breathing, they keep giving me oxygen plus the intravevous antibiotics. Docs just been. Waiting now to see lung specialist and will perhaps have to have stronger inhalers. I will be able to go home then.

Thanks Marieann but it could be another day or two and I can guarantee it will be raining when I do manage to get out.

So sorry to hear of your relapse,so disappointing for you,I do hope you will soon be able to come home I am still getting breathing problems S.O,B, often I am struggling to stay out of Hospital, having been in so many times.I have been passed around to different health depts.I says this ,another that.AT A ceck up at at the Hospital they told me they didnt want me to keep going back, but a Dr from another dept. last week said its alright to ring 111/999 [which ends in a trip to A&E ] for help as thats what ' Theyre there for'

That is the same here Lavonne. Bloody conflicting answers each time.
They cant find any veins now to do any intravenous antibiotics and after trying for well over 30 mins and poking me with needles my bloody hand swelled up like a football and has turned completely black. Had three doctors looking at it and all have said it will go back to normal but it could take a few weeks. I said IF IT DOESNT someone would be for the high jump.
I was then told they can give me the antibiotics and steroids orally but they did it intraveniously because it works quicker.
I wont tell you what I said. Been treated like a queen since BUT I just want to go home.

As though you didn't have enough to cope with without that, Maywalk. Fingers crossed it won't be long until you're home.
I know our family use facetime all the time on their mobiles. It seems to work well for them can you see if you can do that.
It would help if you could see the little one.

I dont have it on my phone Marieann and its too fumbly for me now. To be honest I rarely use my phone because it is SO fiddly. Flipping fingers wont let me.
Just had the doctor to me and he wants to get the pacemaker checked. I am bloody cheesed off. Keep your fingers crossed for me to go home soon.
Enjoy your day.
