Did you watch it? - What did you think of it?

I thought it was a lovely wedding. The bride looked beautiful.
I did wonder why none of her relatives were there except her mother. Poor woman - I can only imagine how tumultuous it must have been for her.

The only thing I didn't like was the American Preacher, Bishop Michael - he was showing off if you ask me.

I saw the Beckham's & George Clooney amongst the guests - also Elton John - I believe he was going to entertain at the reception.

Anybody know where they're going for their honeymoon?

I agree, with one exception, Victoria Beckham. I think we have given up on ever expecting her to smile. I don't know how David stands it.

quite agree with you vannin, never have seen her smile.

We thought the same about the preacher Carol, go worse as he went, simply enjoying himself. However, al in all, think it went beautifully if a little too long. cheers Penny

watched it in bed and I agree with you Carol. That 'evangelical' preacher went over the top. And does the Beckham lady EVER smile?
The ceremony was well organised and spectacular. Nobody does pomp and ceremony like Britain.

They looked to be very happy.
I hope they have a good and satisfying married life.
I thought the bride's mother came over as a very nice person and very attractive.

I see Fergie had an invite after all - but where was she seated?

She was nowhere near Andrew & her daughters.

Not a great fan, but in the bits I saw I was shocked how few people offered the new duchess the courtesy of a bow or curtsy.

Anyone below Kate in the order of precedence should have done so.

I too enjoyed the wedding despite Victoria Beckhams face being so glum, I noticed Elton Johns expression when the sermon was in full flow was a picture which told his opinion fully. BUT what a lovely occasion and I truly wish them a Happy Life together, I am a big fan of Harry and now of his wife. :grouphug:

I believe the Queen's proclamation only became official at mid-day.
'Kate' Duchess of Cambridge has owned her title for seven years.

I notice the old tradition of a 'new' royal curtseying to the queen may have been dropped - I didn't see the bride curtsey before they left. I remember Camilla doing hers in that same chapel after marriage blessing and receiving a title..

She did curtsy, while Harry bowed, as they came out of the registry

That is a family, rather than a Royal , tradition and is unlikely to change.

Thar is why the Queen Mother became an implacable enemy of Prince Philip.
