I was listening to a discussion this morning on tests for children aged 10 years,it seems many children are being put under pressure to do well in these tests by parents & some schools.What are we coming to , when does a child get to enjoy childhood? Dont they face enough pressure as they get into senior schools ?

It' the current obsession with targets and league tables (not just in schools).

Except for special circumstances, parents should only be permitted beyond the school gates for Nativity plays, school concerts and the like.
