What a life.

I hope everyone is keeping well and I only wish that I could just get out in the garden.

I had to have the doctor yesterday to look at my legs because they are swollen SO badly and extremely painful. It finished up with the doctor phoning the hospital for me to go and get blood taken at 6-30 last night plus other tests. Now I have to go back on Monday for a scan to see if I have blood clots. They have given me tablets to take to help break any clots up until then.
I cant walk without having my trolley to hold on to because of the broken pins in both hips and my blasted feet being so swollen. I could do wth a good kick up the duff to get me going.
I am beginning to get really browned off with myself now and could do with a bloody good laugh to help pull me out of this rotten depressed state.
Any suggestions apart from taking a long walk off a short pier. :?

Sorry Maisie - much as I would dearly love to help, I'm unable.

I am very sorry to hear of all your many problems and I'm not surprised how much it is getting you down.

All I can do (which amounts to sod all really) is to sent you lots of cyber hugs and my sincerest wishes for a speedy recovery for ALL the problems besetting you right now.
:grouphug: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Message to Pooh dog - Where are you when you're needed?

Nip into the nearest Telephone Box and don your Superman suit and get round to a lady in distress in Leicester, or simply tickle her fancy with one of your cartoons :please:

Thanks folks.
It brightened my day when my granddaughter came with my great grandson and her two spaniels although I had to barricade myself in just in case they caught my legs with their boisterous greeting.

Pooh dog - you are a tonic.

Maisie - apart from your health problems I think life's getting you down because you can't get out more.
You're a lady who likes people - you like to talk to people. Are there any groups you could go to?

What about the knit & natter? Can you handle knitting needles at all now Maisie? I'm sure there are voluntary drivers who could take you there.
Is there a day centre you could go to for a bit of company? - Again I think there are voluntary drives who could take you.

Thinking of you Maisie.. Hope things improve. x

Hi, Maisie.
Just to say I wish you well, asap. But please be careful with Pooh Dog. He's a national treasure and we wouldn't like to see you take advantage of him!
By the way, I agree with Carol - if it can be arranged, you need to be out more, meeting more people.... :bighugs:

Oh Gawd Pooh.
Even at my age I could not see myself getting amorous with a thing like that. Talk about giving folks nightmares.

Yes I do like to get out among folk Carol BUT if anything is going off here they expect the olduns to play ruddy Bingo and I loathe the game. I cant even write properly now never mind holding a pen.
Also to have a laugh and a joke with some of the older folk is a complete waste of time.
I cant hold the knitting needles now. I used to like to do a bit of knitting but even that cant be done now without my fingers going into spasms and dropping the needles.
I can only type with one finger because of that.
This growing old business can be a pain at times.
