We have just eaten Chilli con carne with rice done in the slow cooker,not the rice though.

Tonight I am going to have a quiche with salad.Followed with a trifle.

No cooking for me tonight. I did Tony an extra pork chop dinner last night which he can have tonight warmed up in the microwave.
I'm having a ham salad.

Just had our local butcher's home made pork & apple burgers with fresh peas and spinach mash.

Tony's making hotdogs for us tonight. The only meal he cooks all week!

Lincolnshire sausages, stir-fried broad beans & onion with sesame seeds and Worcester sauce, lentils. Followed by lovely fresh strawberries.

I was not hungry so just had cornflakes for tea,then sat in a shady spot in the garden fo a while. Im not looking forward to tonight,one of my legs has a thick bandage on as Ive had an ulcer there.Its very uncomfortable.I rang the district nurses as they said they were coming back today but hey said no one was coming today.I explained the bandage is uncomfortable & needed loosening,but they just said no one will come till tomorrow,if I remove the bandage ,they say, my leg will swell up & will have to be redone again tomorrow

Sounds just like a replica of my problem a little while ago. I couldn't get the nurse to come, they are very busy. However, when one came and cut away the bandage she re-wrapped it gently and all went well. good luck for same result. cheers Penny

Well as they are coming anyway tomorrow i would be tempted to undoe it anyway,wont come to much harm overnight.

Today I will be having sweet and sour chicken,if I can bear the oven on.

Tony wanted chips so I did some in the airfryer thing, which isn't for me as good as my Actifry was, some spicy chicken legs and beans. Strange because he normally substitutes potato for what would normally be chips with a meal.

How are things today Lavonne? I hope your leg is easier. What did you decide to do and are you putting your leg up as often as possible? I know it isn't easy but you need to keep it up especially when the weather is so hot.

Macaroni cheese for me tonight.

Last night the 'dubious' Beefsteak pie with roasties & veg. Very nice it was too.

Ham salad planned for tonight with jacket potato.
