Hi lavonne. I'm really sorry to hear of your breathing problems. I have had COPD for around the last 8 years but when this heat-wave began I got my humidifier out of the cupboard and it has been an absolute godsend at night. Apart from one restless night, I have slept really well over this period.

I bought it some years ago when I got pneumonia to help me to breathe. It is called Vicks Germfree Cool and Pure Air Humidifier and, although I can't remember how much it was, I've looked on the net and see that you can get one for around the £40 mark.

Hope you find some relief soon.

caroljoyce I have sent you a PM earlier today

Back on now, but for the first time I was a bit worried and started looking up Health & So vial Care out of hours numbers.

I know they call me a vulnerable person but for the first time I actually felt like one.

I actually began to be a bit frightened.

Just back from the doc.

Among the side effects of new muds are increased sweating and sensitivity to sunlight.

Oh, Joy!

We're just back from Skegness where it was no cooler than at home. Was able to sleep right under a wide open window at night which helped a bit but there wasn't even much breeze.

I've read your PM thank you Monika.

Looking hopeful today.

While the general forecast is dangerously high, locally we have a nice ESE on shore breeze, and a forecast max of 18, which is good as I have to go out.

Well that wasn't unpleasant, I must say.

I even mangled to wear a tie for the first time in about six weeks.

I wasn't the only one to enjoy, town was packed with holidaymakers.

Up until yesterday I was coping because the humidity here seems far less than London, where I used to live but something has changed, and now I am finding it very uncomfortable !

Perhaps the wind direction has changed and It is not coming off the sea (the coast is only 10 miles away.)
I am not sleeping properly at night (insomnia) and it is too hot to catch up with my sleep during the day. I feel absolutely awful !!

Supposed to be going up higher tomorrow first then maybe go down, but will rise again.Trying hard not to ring 999 for breathing problems, not much good if I do, some oxygen when the ambulance arrives, then more in the ambulance,& again on arriving at hospital.Blood tes/ xray, then lay around on a trolleyy in corridor,or a cubicle alone, untill results are through then &, usually, transport back home several hurs latert
