Here's something that might interest Dita, her OH or anyone else within striking distance of Scunthorpe who remembers fondly the green Road Car buses of the 50s, 60s and 70s.

This coming Saturday, a bunch of slightly barmy people from the Lincolnshire Road Transport Museum will be bringing an assortment of former Road Car buses to Scunthorpe and will be at the Carlton Street car park between 10am and 3pm. There will be free rides available (and OH & I will be there if we can drag ourselves out of bed in time!).

Hi Andere coming from the Brigg area I am very familiar with several bus companies which covered that area throughout my life, also the area of the past and current bus stations and I will have a read at the website, thanks very much. Because of a previous arrangement I will be unable to pop down and join the balmy crew---maybe including you:) but I do hope you enjoy your visit.
