Back to Normal.

Postby laurie53 » Tue Aug 07, 2018 11:36 am

When I awoke, around 6.30, it was purring and a good stiff Nor-westerly blowing.

Great, I thought, day out.

By the time I had put some clothes on and grabbed a bite to eat, about 9.15, there it was, back again, wall to wall sunshine!

Back indoors with the curtains drawn by 11.
Never mind, soon be be nice, grey, dark November.

It was a bit chilly this morning at 7am but even if we have heavy rain showers it still seems to end up with blazing hot sunshine. I'm looking out now and there's just a slight breeze, a practically cloudless sky and sunshine.
For the North-east in a hilly area this is wonderful and very unusual. It doesn't affect me, Laurie, I'm very lucky.

Yes I was awake at 6, and when I went out to the dustbin there was a smell of autumn in the air.

The schools start back next week, so the supermarkets will be full of Hallowe'en stuff!
