Do you put your night wear on in the evening & relax in it ,or do you wait untill bed time before you undress ?

Normally, I put my nightie on just before I get into bed. However, during the recent hot spell when the house was still showing temperatures into the 20's late into the evenings, I removed all my clothes and sat around in my nightie which certainly helped me to cool down a bit.

I tend to retire after the 6.00 news.

Put my PJs on and lie on or in the bed, listening to an audiobook before settling down about 11.00.

I have a large (55 inch UHD) television in the bedroom but doubt if I turn it on more than once or twice a week, and only for a single programme.

During the recent excessively humid & hot weather, I've been getting into my very fine cotton PJs soon after the evening meal because they're the most comfortable thing I own in such conditions. Generally, though, I don't wear night attire until bedtime - but I have been known to slob about over weekend breakfast in a dressing gown.

During all this humid weather I have just had my cotton nightdress on and its been heaven to let it all hang out.
I have started to change into my nightwear around 8pm now but before the hot weather started it was always around bedtime.

Unless I have been doing something dirty or sweaty I usually sleep in my shirt and underpants.

You may think that sounds dirty or unhygenic but I think precisely the opposite, because I look at it like this:-
Suppose you wear nightclothes for a week, as I suspect most people do, that is around 56 hours use.
I shower and put clean clothes on every day which means I wear the clothes I sleep in for 24 hours. To equal that I would have to put clean pyjamas on every three days.

Don't think I could wear any article of clothing for 24 hours, particularly nest ti the skim. However, each to his own.

Nifgttime is another time I miss being married. Until her second stroke (at 57) June, like Marilyn, only wore Chanel No 5 to bed!

I must join in now Laurie has mentioned Chanel No 5,
I never were anything in bed, not done for years now, yes I do live on my own!! cannot think of anything worse than getting undressed and dressed again, specially in the hot weather.
