Do you use it and what for?

I've got a bottle languishing in the cupboard somewhere but I don't use it much other than to grease the odd pan and pour a tablespoonful on the chips I cook in my acrifry.

Used to use it all the time - frying, roasting, baking, I don't have any fat in the house at all.

However, I have now graduated to rapeseed oil, which is supposed to be marginally healthier, and to me, imparts better flavour.

Since I use Scottish rapeseed oil it also has less food miles! Now I don't have any olive oil in the house either!

I sometimes use it in my bread machine; I use it in salad dressings; I mix it with a little unsalted butter to sauté garlic, onions & peppers for a pasta sauce; it gets brushed on to veg before putting them in the oven to bake. In fact, I use it anywhere I want the taste of olive oil as opposed to sunflower oil, rape seed oil or butter.
