Amazed

Just had an hour by the Lake/canal. Not sure which there was most of. People on bikes or people with dogs. And the walkers, nearly every one on the phone. Am amazed at the numbers today. Lovely area of Milton Keyes. If ever you are near it is worth a visit. cheers Penny

Did you ever watch the canal trip in the BBC slow television series?

Total relaxation, the only sounds birdsong, the lap of the water, and the occasional greeting from another traveller.

Penny, have you sampled the cruises on the John Bunyan boat along the Great Ouse from Bedford? It's a peaceful time out of time, an absolute delight on a fine day. It's run by a charitable trust and profits go towards the cost of eventually linking up the river with the Grand Union canal.

Actually if you're in north Bucks there used to be day trips in a hottie drawn narrow bat along a canal in that area. Not sure of the canal, but in the Dunstable/Leighton Buzzard area.

Ultimate relaxation!
