We used to go clubbing a lot - and always dressed up to the nines in our long frocks. (I had five)

Well definitely not in a long frock, Carol!

I can honestly say I have never been clubbing in my life! But from 1959 to 1965, I frequented all the Irish Dance Halls in London, also Hammersmith Palais. No long frocks but certainly dressed up!

Went dancing every week but never in a long dress. cheers Penny

I did go dancing and wore either a maxi dress or midi,but have no pictures to show.

Hubby and I used to go dancing most weeks all round the Midlands and meet up with another three couples.
We very often went away for Christmas too where we could dance but none of the ladies wore long dresses.
Two of our favourite meeting places was the Rolls Royce recreation hall and the Miners Welfare. Both lovely places.
They would book dance bands that could play all sorts of dance music from a jive to a waltz and a good time was had by all but the jolly atmosphere and friendliness does not seem to be around now. Happy days.

Everyone seems hell bent on causing upsets nowadays.
