May peace be with you all this happy holiday time
Enjoy the Christmas spirit as the church bells chime
Rejoice in the company of your friends and family
Remember those all alone as you decorate your tree.
Yesterdays arguments all forgotten as we celebrate
Cheer and goodwill to all as our appetites we sate
Happiness is with your loved ones at this time of the year
Reaching out to family and all those we hold dear.
It does not take much effort to bring joy to everyone
So join in everybody let us have some festive fun
Take a pinch of goodwill and stir in lots of friendliness
Mix in laughs and hugs and heaps of happiness.
Add a touch of patience and some tolerance too
Stir it all well together to make the geniality brew.
Each and everyone of us needs to make a new start
Very soon it will be too late so find it in your heart
Enjoy all the jollity and join me in a friendly toast
Remembering those who are no longer able to post.
Your health and happiness as I raise my friendly glass
Over to anyone to join in and end any past impasse
New beginnings is my greatest wish for all
Eat drink and be merry everyone, come lets have a ball.
