Hi all. What an annoying process my laptop and even the old desktop, have put me through. No internet or email. I tried trouble-shooting and got the same negative result every time. Friends said they were not experienced in tricky techno.

So I got a man from PC Callout Ltd and am £70 poorer, but I know of local ones who wld have charged £100 and this one's office is in Regent St! It was all working when he left here.

I have just had the first half hour thinking I was right back to square one again because at first it was even worse than the past three days. But suddenly success seems to have come.

Welcome home vannin. Sorry for all your trouble and costs. Don't know what I would do without my son who is forever having to help me out. I am hopeless with technical stuff. Anyway, take care and enjoy the laptop. cheers Penny

Pleased to see you are back on line Viv,although costly.I am with TalkTalk and its a pain at the moment as they are working on a new mailbox.I have times when they won't let me in.
