I just had to post this now. We've all got huge smiles on our faces because, at last, Daughter has completion on her flat purchase, confirmed this afternoon. She's whizzing around like a blue a***d fly, organising practical stuff like utilities and so on and at the same time gibbering with delight down the phone .
It's all taken so long but, at last, it's happened. The flooring contractors are going in tomorrow; she's moving in on Sunday. Wow. So pleased for her.

PS: You know you're really getting old when your offspring is suddenly a grown up property owner!

Definitely not, Twin! I'd only be in the way. She has the whole thing planned like a military operation, using the work van and with the help of a couple of strong-man colleagues. (I've met them. They wrestle iron bars for relaxation, I think.) The presence of a faffing parent or two would be superfluous.
