Voice from the past!

Postby ciderman_nz » Sat Apr 13, 2019 11:16 pm

Back about 2005 I made a website with a host called 'geocities'. After a few years the host disappeared but I've recently found that all had been archived by somebody- don't know who, but here it is...

I clicked on and enjoyed several minutes viewing (I shall visit again when I get the time).

The meaning of life?

In one word - LOVE.

Everything falls into place once we adopt that emotion as our raison d'etre - no wars, no crime, no starving babies, no drugs and drug-pushers, just mutual respect and peace of mind. IF ONLY!
If at first you don't succeed, sky diving isn't for you!

Great to see you Michael. I have enjoyed all of the photo-history. The best blast from-the-past I have seen for a while! :downhatch:

My family got here at the end of 1952, dita, all my school years in Takapuna, Auckland. No, I don't mind at all. :-)

Michael, I have often meant to ask: On your FB Timeline CV, you once worked as a night porter at Phyllis Court Hotel (long ago before wine!) Was this the Phyllis Court Hotel Henley? If so, I have been there. My husband's company had its Christmas 'do' twice at the venue. In the 70/80s, long after you left for pastures new.

Sorry Vannin, I've only just seen this. The Phyllis Court I worked in was in Torquay but I believe it is now called "Corbyn Head Hotel". I visited when Jill and I were back in 2008 . I was told by the manager that the name had been changed because graffiti vandels kept putting "Sy" in front of the name.
