sainsbury's grocery pass

Does anyone have a grocery pass. Being thick I cannot understand it. When it says £20. for three months does it mean exactly that or does it mean £20. off what you have paid for 3 months delivery. cheers Penny

I have an Asda Delivery pass,it's £5 per month for unlimited deliveries. I guess the Sainsburys pass works in a similar way.

I pay £9 per month to Ocado and I thought it was a lot but I now have weekly deliveries so I am reasoning that it is just over £2 a time! Asda is reasonable certainly.
I used to have Sainsbury until a driver trod dog poo right through my hall - from the pavement I should think.
Before that it was Tesco - until a driver chose to prevaricate over the house numbering and seemed ready for a stand-up row about it.
I have had Ocado for about 7 years and have nothing but praise for all their drivers.

I normally only have one delivery per month, and by judicious choice of delivery slot normally get it for £1 or less, though not from Sainsbury, who still won't deliver to me, or Ocado or Morrisons who don't deliver here.

Does the minimum order still apply if you have one of these passes?

Until last week there were certain days when you could get delivery only on certain days from Tesco for just £1.00p, then for the first time last week it had gone up to £2.00, one had to spend at least £40.00 to achieve that and I think that even £2 is a good thing. Sainsburys also had a similar £1.00 delivery on certain days as well and I have used them now and again, just wondering if Sainsburys have gone up too. Maybe someone on here will know. Hope you are all well. xx

reading there memo to me yesterday, seems they have amended the price the same. one thing i was not happy with, one has to spend £40. per week Well for many weeks I spend over that but on odd occasions I don't want much. If it is less there is no delivery. So I just pay as I order. Hope all are ok and keeping dry. cheers Penny

With Iceland if I spend 35pds on line I get free delivery.But if I spend under that I pay 2pds for delivery.If I shopped in Iceland myself and spend 25pds or more I get free delivery.I like doing mine online as they carry it up the stairs for me.

Well! I only ever do a shop on line from Tesco every 3wks but have never paid more than £1.00 until last week because of the price rise. Must be different at Sainsburys and I cannot comment because I have only had 2 online shops with them, they were both only £!. Never done one at Iceland Maggieh. Hugs to all.

Ouch! Presumably, you picked a busy time for deliveries?

Waitress make no charge for delivery so long as you order a minimum of £60. Minimum value for a click & collect order with no charge is £40 but I usually take the view that, if I'm going to schlep across town to collect the stuff then I might as well go round with my own trolley and do it all myself.

I did at one time have a 6 month Tesco delivery pass and thought it was very good value because you could have a £40 order delivered every day if you wanted to.

Wow! I think I'm glad Sainsbury won't deliver to me!
