Just spoken to my friend in Utah vannin, he said rain is very heavy there and this virus was spreading and causing a lot of problems. Will let you know his reply ASAP. Take care all, keep warm and dry.

Penny, so sorry to hear your grandson is having a dreadful time again. Poor young man is suffering so much. Let us know when you have further news. Also about your husband's progress.
My cousin who does the communicating from the U.S. wrote approx ten days ago. There had been intense heat even in October and rain was expected. She said 30 States were in second lockdown but 'not California yet'. By now ten days later, it may be all states as the second spike has spread.
Take care and stay safe. :grouphug:

Hi Dita, I hope you are improving today. To 'bounce back' is not possible, we know that. But you will know when you are feeling more normal. Don't try posting if it needs effort you just don't have available. We are here, thinking of you and wishing you well. Trixie and I send love and gentle hugs.xxx :bighugs: :bighugs:

Hi Vannin you are right and I am trying to bounce back, but as you say it is not easy... In a way, this lock down however I am using as an advantage despite the fact the restriction is not the best deal for us all. I live on my own, cannot go out anywhere we have no facilities at all in the village, cannot rely on any busses, but I could get a taxi or ask a favour from a neighbour but do not like taking advantage and only because I needed help urgently would I expect any of my friendly village folk be put on. I don't have to wear a mask, housework can be a more casual affair, do grocery shop on line so no lugging a trolley around, this is the way I am looking at life, no sooner had my husband died I was then plunged into this covid thing , so I either sink or swim and listen frequently to the news about my age been against me etc etc. or......do what I am doing and fight to feel better. Vannin. Dolly drives me nuts she is very demanding and active but that keeps me going. Could be killing me with kindness :) Hee Hee . Take care everyone, Vannin and Trixie Love and Hugs to you both from Dolly and me xxx

Hi Dita, do hope you are feeling better, take it easy and keep warm. Got a call from son, in London, at 3.15pm. James meeting with the expert was at 12.noon , They arrived in London at 11.15, dropped James off at the clinic and popped in a cafe. They were still sitting there waiting for a call at 3.15.pm, Then to top it all, daughter-in-law who was with son in cafe, got a call, her father had been taken into hospital and it was to the same ward as hubby. So we are all sitting on egde waiting for a call from someone or other.

Son just got back. Seems James finally had his 12am appointment at 3.pm and it took untill 6 pm. Seems he had a slight turn and specialist has changed his medicine and tomorrow he goes back to UNI and to keep reporting to hospital there. What a dreadful day for all of them. I am now living with fingers and everything crossed.
Hope all are well and keeping warm. Take care Dita and do take care. cheers Penny

I hope James, hubby and your d-i-l's father will soon be on the road to full recovery. Do you have front doorstep visits by the people from your church, because you are the sole resident for the moment?

Morning all, what a dull old day. Very windy and cold. Think it might get worse before it gets better.
My frien in USA says he is nowhere near your relatives vannin. Rather terse in speech and that is all he put.
Haven't heard from anyone so far today, hubby said he will ring this morning, he was busy trying to trace d-i-l's father. He was sent to same ward as hubby but the ward ids large and divided into blocks of six, so will take some time I expect.
Hubby was told yesterday that as he ws doing well they were awaiting a bed at the special clinic where he will be for two weeks.
Did I mention our friends in Florida, so upset, because of this virus they are not allowed anyone near them and because they are such a familly minded lot they are very unhappy, no birthdays and no Xmas's together. Any news from Dita yet.? sincerely hope she is on the mend. Take care all and keep warm. cheers Penny

Hi Dita, I am a bit late today, I get wrapped up in the serial called 'A Place to call Home' AGAIN! It must be my third viewing. Then I scoot around for an hour before another hour spent on 'All Creatures', also at least my third time! What a creature of habit! I think Trixie sets her cat-clock by my afternoon TV, as well as observing it get dark earlier! (Both of those are on Drama/FV 20)
Our little chats have been important to me too. I had a solo coffee in town yesterday, and chats with a couple of midweek regulars like myself! Chatting is needed!
You sound a little better now, take care. Trixie and I send love and gentle hugs to you and Dolly.xx :bighugs: :bighugs: Stay safe everyone :grouphug:

Just had a call from hubby. He will be home on Wednesday/
.He won't be going to the clinic as the hospital feel they have done all they can and it is now up to him. He just rang to tell me he is off this morning to the departure unit and son has taken his clothes along. Could not get any word re inlaw. Thought I would keep you up to date. What a miserable wet day, so dark and cold. Hope it is better where you all are. So, to cheer me up and lighten the day, give us a few posts, Cheers Penny
