Evening all, After a super day just enjoying teatime. Hope all are O>K and enjoying the lovely weather. Just for info. Hubby and I had our Jabs in January and last week a call inviting us to second jab which we had on Thursday. No probs at all. Think delays are due to amount of folk in the area. I may be wrong of course. Make sure you wrap up tonight, going to be very chilly. cheers Penny

Thank you Penny. I have a follow-up now. My daughter phoned my surgery and had a conversation with the duty doctor about my lack of appointment. Because of the delayed new supply, it might even be a few weeks past my due date which should have been this Friday. She stayed calm, thank goodness, and this doctor explained that the receptionist (in March)who told me to to expect her call in the past week, had no idea they would run out. But he reassured my daughter that the jab is NO less effective even if a few weeks late. This is a new doctor who I have spoken to once and have faith in, but no faith in the other partners.
So I have now been reassured just in time to go to bed and not niggle about it!! Thanks again.

Pleased your feeling better. Getting too old a witch to send spells now. At least, this one worked. Take care now and do keep warm today. Sunshine is very deceptive. cheers Penny

Can you get rid of my aches and pains too Penny ???? especially I would so, so, :) appreciate being able to walk easier on my left leg. Have got an appointment with the mobile hairdresser on Tues, it is nearly 2yrs since I had my hair cut, it is so straggly and long now and the last I had it trimmed was by my Hubby.
My Groceries have just arrived, take care all, Hugs and Love Vannin and Trixie from Dolly and me xxx

Have done my best Dita, now take care and see how tomorrow goes, I act as barber to hubby and also cut my own, no choice as I have only been outdoors twice for my jabs in a whole year. Think positive and see if the pain eases off by tomorrow. cheers Penny

Hi Dita, my hair and your hair have a similar recent tale to tell. I last had it cut in May 2019, so nearly two years. In Feb this year I applied the scissors myself and trimmed about half an inch off the ends. Didn't dare add to that! I hope you enjoy your good hair day! :luck:
When I had my grocery delivery on Monday, the new guy was outstandingly efficient, and it struck me he reminded me of some ex-military personnel I knew long ago(a whole other story) Each grocery carrier bag was packed with almost geometric precision. The ex RN officer I used to know, was constantly praising the housekeeping side of naval training, especially the ironing and folding of shirts and his shirts showed proof of that! :hughcry: :ironing:
However, I digress from forum day-to-day, and can only say that the day is very ordinary, dry, sunny-ish and lacking weekend excitement. My grandson is so grown-up and so thoughtful for offering escort duties to me
I wish I could transfer the photo my daughter posted on Facebook. :clicker: Love and hugs to Dita and Dolly from Trixie and me xxxx :bighugs: :bighugs: take care everyone :grouphug:

Good afternoon everyone, this is a quick one because my day has been a frustrating one------not unusual for me, but I am trying to sort out the house and send things to Charity . Penny its been nearly two years since I ventured out apart from sitting in the carpark while the vet came and took Dolly inside for treatment--------not even a trip to the lake for me either???? Sorry I went for my jab the other week :) :( xx
My son was-- and still is a bit like that Vannin, he was a medic for 23 yrs. Been a lovely day here too, if only I could have taken advantage of it. Love and Hugs Vannin and Trixie from me and Dolly. Take care all.

I can't help still thinking about having an extra number of weeks or months between my jabs, am not worrying about the 'effectiveness' when delayed, but I am annoyed because every time I have dealings with the surgery there is yet another cock-up. The professional explanations have been quite clear and I trust that doctor, but the admin (ordering and deliveries)is hopeless. I thought about changing to another Practice but all the doctors partnerships are rated online and all those in the area have the same ratings of 2.5 out of 5.
When I met hubby in the 60s, I was working in Stock Control, there were no computers, and it was unthinkable to ever make mistakes over re-ordering in good time and knowing the stock levels. With everything now online, there is no individual held responsible. But the Med Sec and receptionists are great. So we continue waiting for Pfizer delivery.

Right, that was me getting it off my chest. Sorry. It was a very ordinary day again, of course. Might go out tomorrow. Take care everyone. :grouphug: Trixie and I send love and hugs to Dita and Dolly.xxxx :bighugs: :bighugs:

Good afternoon everyone, just been reading Maisie's post remarking on the activity been so lacking on here, also read Penny's answer about the same. Odd really, and I am wondering if they are talking about another forum-----or maybe we are not here nearly every day??? :cheeky4: Good to see Poohdog posting anyway. I do like his humour, and sorry he hasn't been able to post. :grouphug:
I was talking to a solicitor yesterday and she was saying how so much online stuff and the fact that their business has being changed incredibly the last years because of complications which did not exist before computers and associated products. It is quite an eye opener .
What you were saying about surgery's administration etc. is just the same here Vannin, I too have considered changing mine to another practise but it seems they are all the same in one way or another. Love and hugs :bighugs: :bighugs: Vannin and Trixie from Dolly and me xxxxx Take care all xxx

Hi Dita, yes I was a bit taken aback by that too. At the time of my short 'sabbatical' I first said 'a month' but then it was more like a fortnight and I was back, not feeling fearful of being the brunt of someone who is no longer here. Since then I have missed no more than three odd days. :huffin:

I went into town today, greatly enjoyed chatting with a bus-friend, otherwise I would have been the only passenger. I really wanted to observe the different atmosphere with some restrictions lifted. There were not exactly queues to get into shops but they looked full. What was most noticeable was the hum of voices right through the covered shopping centre.
Love and hugs to Dita and Dolly from Trixie and mexxxx :bighugs: :bighugs: Take care all :grouphug:
