I have lived here for 30 years and never had to even think about anything like that because my front door does NOT face the Close it overlooks the green but within the last fortnight I have had two lots of what I took to be Jehovahs Witnesses going by their dress as I have seen them walk back down the long drive and with two of them together.
Also someone has even tried my front door after ringing the bell to see if anyone would answer it.
Two came last Friday when I was having my eyes tested at home and the opticians assistant went to answer my door to tell them I was NOT interested.
I could not get there myself because the optician had borrowed my trolley to put the machine on and I cant walk without it.
Perhaps it was a good job really because I would have lost my rag.
The doorbell monitor will be set to my I-pad so that I can see who is there and also to my sons phone because he lives a few miles away. It will also come in handy if I have any emergency calls regarding health so that the family will be able to SEE who or what is at the front door.
How things and folks have changed over the last century.
SO many millions died in two world wars to make it a better world to live in and this is the result.
