Another one of those days

Postby Penny » Fri Oct 09, 2020 8:31 pm

They keep on comming. Taking a bowl of hot soup on my trolley, didn't see hubby had foot dangling and went haywire soup and all. Bashed my nose, soup all down the wall and his jug of water all over his dressing table, wall, wires etc. and clothes I was wearing. Managed to wipe away with drawer full of his hankies and then I went to sit. Sending message to daughter as she was coming Saturday to change double bed over for two singles. Suddenly, internet, lights, fridge, google, etc. were not working. So, sitting in dark. Realised the water had gone onto a socket and fused everything. we were trying to decide what to do. Hubby was telling me about the fuse box in the garage and how to replug. So, I went to look. got a little ladder, climbed up and pressed the little black plug rhat was facing wrong way. Hey Presto back to normal ????? fingers crossed.
cheers Penny

Good Grief Penny you certainly are having problems just of late. :bighugs:
I hope you did not do yourself too much harm when having the fall.
Is everything OK now? Is hubby any better?

Hi Maisie, you are so right. Have bruises on my hand and arm and my left shoulder is tingling. Still to be expected. Thought I would sit carefully after getting tea and then the lights all went out, including Internet. Talking to hubby about it he said he would have to ring round to get help. Howver, I went ino the garage with a torch and found the fuse box he was talking about thought, here-goes. Got a small ladder, upt it and found the fuse not working, pressed it and hooray, lights etc all came back on. Seems some of the water or soup had got into the bedside fuse-wire. Now am waiting for daughter to come to move two single beds in place of our double so that I can get some sleep. If that works the I can sing about Alls Well that Ends well. You take care.

cheers Penny :grouphug:

Heavens Penny, you certainly don't have your troubles to seek!

The trouble with incidents like that is that no matter how bad you feel, you have to get on with clearing up!

Not to worry. All fixed up now. Daughter came to swap the beds and arranged arm alarms for both of us. She also bought a wheelchair for hubby so that he can get about but trying to sit in it she said she didn't realise how bad he was. Anyway, managed the change over and he is snoozing away. Just got to get rid of the old bed, pillows and bedding. Daughter trying to get in touch with council but no luck till Monday. Fingers crossed now for happy weekend for all. cheers Penny :grouphug:
