News From The Past Book.

My son and d-i-l called in this morning before going off to Norfolk for a long weekend to celebrate my sons 70th birthday which is tomorrow.
I put a posting on here a week or so ago about sending for the book regarding newspaper headlines with a page to put special personal photos of what happened each year.
I asked my son first if he would like one and he was dead chuffed with the idea but we were given the impression that it probably would not arrive until after his birthday.
Much to my surprise while they were here the PO van called with the said book and it was a lovely surprise because he can take it with him to browse through while away for the weekend.
I made him open it while he was here because I wanted to see what it was like and I only wish I had had one for my 90th birthday when reading through it to see all the old news of years ago.
It also had his name embossed on the front of the book.

I have had a look through it Twin.
It is front page news of each year on that particular day.
Quite a large book that has to really be read on a table and nicely bound, but before you make your mind up have a look at other gifts that involve old newspapers.
Good Luck.
