The good morning and weather thread

No rain yet but forecast lots for tonight. Been odd during the day, sunny, then puffy clouds and then the odd dak coud. At present lovely blue and whitr. cheers Penny

Today 'my' rain came along while the window cleaner was here. I said it was forecast locally for tomorrow too, and he said they would be in Milton Keynes tomorrow!

All night loud noise of wind! Gales up to 150kmph and a power outage for about 4 hours. Rosie thought she was going to go paragliding when she went out for early morning "On The Grass" :-)

Rain rain rain! All my fault for enthusiastic over-use of garden sprinkler!

Had a tiny falling of rain about 8.30 now only cloudy sky. No breeze now so not sure what we will get.

Just gone 4.13pm and pouring with rain. Easing slightly as I look out 4.22. stopped now.

It has been trying to rain here.Had very dark rain clouds awhile ago but it has passed over now.

We now have lovely sunshine but looking up sky is very dull ans a grey colour.

Several trucks have been overturned a few km from where we are and the night before was so noisy! Today it's all gone! Peaceful and sunny but they tell us there will be more next week! The joys of living in what the old sailors used to call "The Roaring Forties" !

Ciderman, if trucks are being overturned, then little dogs have no chance, and Rosie must not be outside unless firmly held in strong arms! No wonder she wants to stay in bed each windy morning.
I hate gales, although when I used to use the sea crossing to Ireland instead of by air, I was happiest being out on deck, no matter how fierce the weather, rather than be in the lounges where people were heaving.

Well, all day was odd but no rain. Our young gardener rang to say 5 pm visit so we knew there would be no rain.

Vannin, when I was 7 years old, my mom and I went to Bermuda on a returning aircraft carrier named HMS Ranee, following my dad who had gone on ahead. Halfway across the Atlantic we were hit by a hurricane! I was never sea sick but my mom was and spent most of her time for several days in her cabin. I was looked after by some lovely sailors on their way to Bermuda. I still have a vivid memory of watching a crew member climb a companionway attached to a safety lanyard and when he opened the hatch I could see a giant wave!
I hope this is 'weather' oriented! :-)
