Had an icy blast through here for a couple of days! Up to 170kmph and 6 metre waves crashing over the road in Wellington. Should improve soon.

The heating clicked in first thing yesterday morning, but it switched itself off by 10:30.

Had to go to the chemist yesterday afternoon and it was quite pleasant, bearing in mind I was sitting in a chair and not striding out briskly!lp

Very cold this morning. Maybe we were spoiled by having such an unseasonably good October!

Chilly here too, worse thing-----it never became light most of the day and it did keep indicating rain which didn't come to anything. Very odd really .

I certainly is odd Dita. Then in the past hour, 'our' Tomasz said something on the lines of : 'The weekend weather will lead you to believe it is cold but it won't be really as the temperature will be slightly higher than usual for this time of year!!'
In town today, it only felt bearable in the covered 'mall'. I dropped one glove somewhere but that will teach me to keep wearing old favourites till they are falling apart - must replace them soon.

Gusty gale force winds here for the last couple of days! Had enough of it! Bit of rain last night but then back to wind today!

I watched handsome Tomasz indicating what you just quoted Vannin. Lovely blue sky and sunshine here today despite the chilly start. Ciderman there is a big difference in comparison to your weather briefing of yesterday. xx

I thought the same until I put my nose outside just now. Brrr! Soon time to leave for choir practice and will face an icy blast which must be from NZ !
