Origin of Rowan Tree beliefs

We probably all know it already, especially if interested in Celtic folklore.

Since ancient times people have been planting a Rowan beside their home as in Celtic mythology it's known as the Tree of Life and symbolises courage, wisdom and protection. The power of the sacred Rowan tree is further enhanced by the pentagram, an ancient protective symbol, embedded in the bottom of every Rowan berry.

Interesting, there are probably origins for a lot of trees, we planted a Rowan tree in memory of a person in our town,

Thought that was Crab Apple, or is Rowan the proper name of Crab apple??

We love Rowan trees in this little Hamlet there is one every few doors away from me .I also seem to remember donating when Eve passed over.
