Miserable Saturday

Postby Penny » Sat Jan 29, 2022 4:17 pm

What queer weather we seem to be having of late. One minute sunny next dull and misty. Hope you are all keeping well. Just been watching two beautiful pheasants rolling in a sandy patch under a tree. I have been feeding one for several weeks and thought he had passed on, but today (he or she) came back with a relative or such. Does anyone else have pheasants visiting? cheers Penny

Hen pheasants are mainly brown no matter what variety they are.

The highly coloured ones are the cock pheasants whether they be the common pheasant or exotic species like the silver pheasant or Lady Amherst's pheasant.

They know when the shooting season finishes and they can safely start struttin' their stuff!
