Photo of my mother taken in 1902.
It must have been a studio photo and the boot specially made to sit babies in it.
Another photo that survived the blitz, because my mother crawled back in the first house we had bombed and managed to save some old photos and documents.
Mind you she got ticked off by the firemen but that did not deter her.

Oh what a beautiful set up photo Maisie. Who ever took the photo had a lovely imagination.
Civilisation is a veneer, easily soluble in alcohol.

Yes it is very unusual but I think the boot was specially made for that purpose.
