The Abbey

Postby Penny » Fri May 06, 2022 11:42 am

Just been watching our granddaughter in Bath at the Abbey receiving her graduation. So touching, had us both in tears. Son had arranged it so that we could watch the ceremony on our lap tops. Simply wonderful. Many parents were there, they must have all been so proud of their young men and women ( can't call them children}. Prince Edward was there to oversee the whole thing. Has anyone one else been to this kind of ceremony. cheers Penny

Never been to a graduation, but remember my son's passing out parade in the army and also going to watch a rehearsal of trooping the colour with him in it.
Marvellous modern technology, glad you were able to watch it.

Penny so pleased that you have seen your granddaughter's graduation. It is tear jerking. And to have Prince Edward there too.

I went to see Jade at her graduation couple of months ago at Canterbury Cathedral her's was in the evening. It was a cold wind blowing and we were not allowed in side until 6.30

Jade is going to be a teacher in a junior school in September.
