My son was a Grenadier Guard 1978 to 1992 and was in 2 Trooping colour, in them days the uniform was very thick and heavy think now it is a lot easier to wear, but remember him saying it was a long day, went to a dress rehearsal when he was in it, think they do 3 rehearsals in full dress.

I bet your lad is very proud of his past, always sounds super but not an easy job at all.
