Yes, though she lives a different life to most of us, she is human, and was nice to see her talking to the little ones, and also them talking to her,

I am always conscious of the fact that some of those guys would have been on parade, in full kit, since 5:00 AM in order to be in place on time.

My son was a Grenadier Guard 1978 to 1992 and was in 2 Trooping colour, in them days the uniform was very thick and heavy think now it is a lot easier to wear, but remember him saying it was a long day, went to a dress rehearsal when he was in it, think they do 3 rehearsals in full dress.

My son was a Grenadier Guard 1978 to 1992

if he was a foot guard at that time he saw some hard soldiering.

Give him my respect.

Mine was a bit later but they might have overlapped in the gulf where he was a mercenary:

In addition to his standard salary of 36,000 plus allowances he will also getting 3000 pounds at day while the shooting was going on!

Your boy wouldn't be getting anything like that:

Like me, he probably considers himself fortunate to have escaped the Falklands, Bosnia and Helmand province.

I did Ireland time too.
