Today we finally reached the 50% of parliament is women. It's been a long time since Kate Shepherd and women getting the vote in 1893- ahead of the rest of the world. It's not a requirement, just the way it happened when one man resigned from parliament. So in our "Beehive" of 120 members 60 are now women. Hooray! :happy:
