Jack frost has been out here today with a white covering on shed roofs.It is so cold I have just put some heating on for a while.Can't afford it on all day like most people can't either.Will have to jump up and down.

It's cold here today, went up to the market and queued at post office was glad to get home

It has been quite nippy here but we have had well over 5 hours of sun although the sun wasn't really warm it was exceptionally dazzling, what I term as an accident sun. Especially if one is driving.

There's a Christmas parade on in town today hope the weather holds off! Black clouds rushing across the sky but just a little rain during the night.

Wow, here it comes. Awoke to a good two inches of snow and it is still very cold. A friend in America has been telling me he has been expecting snow for about a week but still got rain. Seems everything is going back to front. Anyone else got snow. cheers Penny

No snow in Norfolk, cold and frosty, just been up post office and the windscreen has cleared, but still cold, think we have one more day of very cold weather then back to 'normal'

Happy memories of Norfolk, where I was on a non flying base and snow clearance was not a problem.

Not so happy memories of other places like St Mawgan, Brawdy and Kinloss which designated Master Diversion Airfields for transatlantic birds that were low on fuel and had 3000 feet runways which had to be kept clear at all costs and everything else was dropped.

Back then it was all yard brushes and shovels. Hot Oxo and dried bread was never so welcome!

When I was a 10 year old kid, I stayed with my grandparents on his farm near Burnham Market. It was near Christmas and had the job of hacking a hole in the ice on the water tank so the taps would work properly!

Lovely winter Norfolk stories, we used to have 'proper' winters and got through them, but now a bit of cold and snow and the whole country comes to a stand still. Keep warm everyone.

Bitter cold and dark. Everywhere is still and silent except for the odd car now and then. Wonder how long it is going to last. cheers

Saw on Facebook a video of the winter 1963, I remember that as I had two small babies and a Silver Cross pram, found it hard to go anywhere, anyone else remembers 1963???
