Lovely get together.

Lovely get together.

I had my 100 year old friend visit me on Monday.
We have been friends for well over 60 years and as different as chalk and cheese. Pearl is the quiet one.
She is a lovely person and been very lucky NEVER to have been in hospital for anything during her long life.
I told her it was with eating all the carrots she dug up during WW2, because she was a Land Army Girl.
Unfortunately she is forgetting a lot now but she still has that lovely personality that folks take to.

Lovely to have such a long and close friendship. Pearl looks very spritely for 100 years.

Lovely photo, she looks well, as far as 'old' friends go, my oldest friend I meet in the Brownies, we were both about 7/8, we are now in our 80's, so over 70 years, we might have lost touch a bit with marriage and babies, but still manage the christmas and birthday cards, with the divorce and deaths and the invention of the computer we are in touch again, I visited her 2 years ago when I was at my sons, who lives not far away, it was lovely to see her, the last time we meet was over 15 years ago.
my other long friend was from high school, so would have been 11. still see her.
