Christmas Day

Postby widget » Mon Dec 25, 2023 8:25 pm

Today I was a helper at our local community centre giving those folk on their own at christmas a dinner, was well attended, even had 3 folk with their dogs, all free, hard work for us helpers as we served everyone and cleared away but we also got our dinner to have with folk, then a cup of tea and cake and watched the Kings speech on TV. Am now home shattered,

Thanks, it always goes well and well attended, just under 70 including 12 helpers, also there are about 4/5 people with cars who bring and take home those with no transport. Forgot to say they all go home with a box of chocolate biscuits, this year donated by Waitrose, [got mine!!]
Went to my daughter's Boxing Day, had her husband's 3 sons and family and his Mum and Dad, more food, came home with all the left-overs, !!!

Just given my cooker and kitchen a good clean, so don't think much else is going to be done today,

Lovely picture. I thought I had replied on this one but never mind. You did a super job widget. Take it easy now and when you have rested you can come an clean up my kitchen. Ha Ha. cheers. Forgot to say, had a wonderful day with my son and crew. One of the gifts was a large electric blanket with all fluff one side. I have it on my arm chair and switch it on then wrap it round me. Never seen one like this before. Have a good day all in spite of the weather, cheers. :grouphug:

They really are super. I am not sure how to work one, any ideas. At the moment I press a big button at the bottom, fiddle about and hope for the best. At present, it has Hot in red at the bottom and 5 in green upper part of the plug. cheers

Mine is on number 6 in Red that heats the blanket on the bed on top of your covers.I can turn it down to 5,4,3,3,1 which would be cooler.Put the name of your blanket on here and I will look at the intstructions for you.Penny.
