Well, I watched it, Maisie, and was disappointed that you weren't shown.

There was a lady from Derbyshire this evening - so- perhaps they will be showing someone from Leicester tomorrow.

Fingers crossed!

Hi Monika.
I did put a posting up somewhere saying that I had a phone call from the producer telling me it will be going on air on the 3rd -today -instead of the 2nd as she thought in the first place.
I just hope it turns out OK

Many thanks Carol.
Its not on the website yet or else I would put it up for others to look at.
The announcer got my name wrong though.
She called me Maisie Evans but my single name was Johnson so where the hell she has had that from I have NO idea. :huffin:
I have left a message though on the producers mobile phone asking what happened there.

At last, Maisie.

I thought it was a good interview and I really think it's been a good thing to hear all the memories these past weeks.

I was three when the war began and nine when it finished, so I don't have a lot of memories like you, but I certainly remember what proper war was - not what they call war nowadays when it's only our poor young men who are 'at war' and we suffer no hardships back here. It really was a different matter in our day!

I hope I will be able to see it too.
Like you Monika I remember things too, Mum & I were in Sheffield for a few days, the Blitz happened. We were lucky though, our house did not get bombed.

Thanks Monika.
Glad you enjoyed it.
As soon as the news changes I will put a link on the forum for those who would like to watch it.
I am STILL baffled though as to how or where they got the name of Evans.
