Anniversary Poem for Hubby

Postby Maywalk » Wed Sep 23, 2009 6:00 pm

I am NO good at making cards and I could not see anything in the shops that really referred to hubby and myself so I took our wedding photo that someone had coloured for me and put it on some photo paper with the poem I made up for hubby and here is the result.
He was chuffed to bits with it.

Words from the heart Maisie.
Avoid the evil, and it will avoid thee.

Romantic Roses from Cliff and your tell it as it is poem, Maisie, say it all.

The love shines through; it's what has kept you together for all these years and it's a remarkable testimony to successful marriage and what can be achieved with a bit of committment and loyalty.

Absolutely wonderful!
If at first you don't succeed, sky diving isn't for you!

Romance still thrives, despite years between.
So much we've loved, and together have seen.

That is just how I see you both. :grouphug:

Many thanks Eve, Monika and Dita.

He is sitting next to me at the moment on his computer playing Solitaire. He doesn't use it for much else but it keeps him amused for an hour before he gets ready for bed.

Many thanks JJ and Liz and Mo.
On the night of the 'do' he asked for a very old song to be played for me and I have heard from quite a few who came to the 'do' that there wasn't a dry eye in the place.
It was called "When Your Old Wedding Ring Was New".
He led me on the floor and although we cant waltz anymore, due to bad knees and pinned hips, apart from old age, we just moved to the music on the spot.
We were holding each other up if the truth be known. :roflmao: :roflmao:
The cheer that went up must have been heard many streets away.
