Dont ask me why but when I hear that lady advertising " Come Down To Somerfields" I always think of Rowan, it must be that velvet accent in her voice.

I am completely serious, yet never heard Rowan's voice. :sunglasses:

Lidl sell some decent stuff... I got a beef joint from their freezer just to try it. I didn't expect it to be tip top but I cooked it in my slow cooker and it was lovely, full of flavour and very tender... Also their ginger biscuits are good, half the price of McVities and just as good. I go to Liddl about once a month and stock up on cherry jam, ginger biscuits and part baked baguettes... and anything else that looks good.
I wouldn't like to do my weekly shopping there though... not enough choice.

I bought two belt sanders for my sons, in ALDIs. Looked well made, 900w motors, strong, identical to Bosch and Draper sanders but much cheaper. Both sons say they are great to use.
