Stephen Gately, one of the singers in Boyzone has died.

Such a shock for such a young lad to die.

I heard that on the early morning news and was quite shocked. They haven't revealed a cause of death yet but very strange for such a young man to die so suddenly.

He had been on a night out I believe. Well he doesn't look the type of young man who takes drugs, so I wouldn't think it was drug related, but I do wonder how much alcohol he had drunk. Its easy to choke on vomit when someone is drunk. On the other hand, it could have been an unsuspected heart complaint. I guess we will have to wait for a post mortem to see.

Its very sad when such a young person dies though. The rest of the lads in the band are very shaken up!

DL - Cannot tell a - type of person who takes drugs - especially if they are wealthy. Always somebody around eager to make a vile profit.

Sounds as if he had had quite a skin full, I remember a young 16yr old paper boy celebrated his B/D by drinking a bottle of Vodka, it killed him. Alcoholic poison.
No more birthdays.

Strange one this......seems he and his partner picked up a Bulgarian man and took him home. Mmmmm The police are looking for the Bulgarian .

Incidentally he was reportedly a drug abuser some years back but dont know if he was still taking them.

Sad none the less.

I didn't know about reports of previous drug taking, Steve!

I think habitual drug takers tend to lose pride in their appearance and often look gaunt and ill, Anya, which is why I said I thought it wasn't drugs. Another sign is dilated pupils. From his photos he looked healthy and appeared to take care of his appearance.

Of course I realise it can be a person's first time of taking an E which kills them - sadly it has happened several times. Again, too much alcohol in one go is another killer.

Well all accusations about his sudden death in the media have proved wrong according to PM result, all jump to conclusions, this must be so distressing for his family.

Sadly Dita, it seems to be human nature to think the worst, at least now his family can go ahead and lay him to rest :dunno:
