Beautiful Anya - seeing something like that makes you glad to be alive.

Red sky in the morning Shepherd's warning.

Red sky at night means the cow shed's alight.

What on earth sort of time did you get up this morning, Anya? I was still asleep when you posted the picture! :rolleye11:

What a lovely photograph, Anya.

Here, in Nottingham, we have had a truly wonderful day of endless sunshine, blue skies and no winds which, I think, prompted me to buy some pansies and dwarf narcissi while out.

Hoping for more of the same for the foreseeable future!

September and October have been absolutely wonderful, for weather. Mind you, would have been nice in wet, cold and 'orrible August, when the kiddies were on holiday. But there you go.

DL - I am always up early and love to watch the dawn. Often spectacular, especially at this time of the year, when the sun is low. Lovely, quiet - me - time.

Even if I wake up, I never watch the dawn. Instead I lie there and listen to the dawn chorus with my eyes screwed tightly shut in case a certain little moggy should notice that I am awake and start slapping me around the face and yelling "Feed me!".

My daughter's cats have developed their own way of getting what they want except that the trick can only be worked once ! When one of them fled yowling under her bed she went racing in to see what was wrong and while she was doing this - the other one ate her dinner.
