Dreadful here.
Plenty of the family held up for hours while driving home from work.

Slush, slush and more slush in our little market town. Roads a mess, pavements untouched icy and dangerous.
Normal for Norfolk.

I am expecting to be 'home alone' after all. I can't reach them and they can't reach me. Christmas is postponed but...........it doesn't HAVE to be 25th and 26th. I am upset about waiting longer to see Charlie but maybe by New Year! I have enough basic rations to last a few days and am expecting a Sainsbury delivery on 27th. But all of these have a great backlog now. This week, Sainsburys site has carried an apology that adverse conditions affect them but they will phone customers on the day. Today the site couldn't be accessed till around now.

Heavy snow here yesterday evening resulting in us not being able to get out until late this afternoon. Would never have ventured it but had promised a friend to pick up some items from Costco. Talk about busy. Wow. cheers Penny

Whoopee! Update on two counts :sunglasses: Firstly, a gritter finally came up here this afternoon. Secondly, a lovely Good Samaritan, a neighbor opposite whom I hardly know, has offered to take me to the station.

So - back to square one, I won't be Home Alone for Crimbo after all.

I had to change my plans.............the cousin is snowed in, so had to bypass her and come straight down to Nairn.

Hope things improve before I go back after New Year or I won't see the cousin at all. That'll teach me to save a few pence and hand deliver her family's Christmas Cards.

Excellent news, Viv !!!! Supposed to be getting milder, all over the country, much easier for people travelling today and tomorrow.

The bookies must be rubbing their hot sticky little hands red raw. After all the snow and chaos of the last few days, there will be nary a single flake on Xmas Day :sunglasses:

Lots of snow here and minus 8 last night. Still the dogs love being out in the snow playing so there are some pluses.

I cant play with the dogs as I had a slight argument with a hammer, the hammer winning of course and I have smashed the bone in me pinky. Nothing can be done so I will have a deformed pinky. Still its a better shape for picking me nose with!!!!

Boy does it hurt when out in the cold.

Does seem to be the time of year for bumps and lumps. Don't know what you were aiming at Steve but you seem to have missed it by a foot .... or a hand.
