Do all Scots celebrate new year?

Postby caroljoyce » Sun Dec 27, 2009 6:22 pm

I remember one new year we went to Glasgow. We thought Scotland was the place to be.
We were in a nice hotel which had it's own celebrations but hubs wanted to go out and sample the Glaswegian night life.

Some hope!!

All the pubs closed at 9.00pm on New yrs eve... to avoid trouble I think... I'm not quite sure.

The locals were all partying in their own homes.

Used to Carol but nowadays its not such an event. There are the big celebrations in the cities - I know Stirling has something on in the castle but we'll not be there. We'll be in our own wee house, toast in the new year and then get back to normal.
Avoid the evil, and it will avoid thee.
