The Christmas left overs!!

Postby caroljoyce » Wed Dec 30, 2009 1:14 am

I've just had the last of the strawberry gatteaux... Other stuff like cake and mince pies, I've frozen to save making a pig of myself.
All the ham and turkey has gone but lots of chocolates, nuts, Pringles etc lying around unopened.... I won't be going on a diet yet!!

How are you doing with yours?

Yes we had Christmas lunch at a hotel too but on Christmas Eve I had a family party and bought huge amounts of food for it. That's what we're still eating.

Well I'm all packed and ready to go to St Ives. Tony has put the nuts and pringles in the travel bag... he plans to nibble on the coach.... spose I will be tempted too. lol

Loads of food stuffed in the freezer. Why do we always buy for so many when there are only about 20 to feed?

With all that was left over, i didn't think we would be shopping for a while. yet we still run out of other things.

Had stuff left over and had to chuck some as one son and DIL and GC wereaill over the holiday. Other son and DIL came as planned but we could only eat so much!!! I ran out of spuds this morning and luckily the market greengrocer was there in situ so I loaded up again! The meats and poultry lasted ages.

Happy New Year all1 :grouphug:
