Will you be up to celebrate the New Year?

Postby mo » Wed Dec 30, 2009 6:59 pm

I'm always up celebrating.
This New Year we shall be down one of our local pubs because our youngest daughter and her partner are singing there. They are semi proffessionals and it's great to see them performing.

Stopping in - just my son and I will see the new year in with a glass of a really good single highland malt.

My daughter will be out on the town, no doubt.

We'll toast in the new year and then just go to bed. No gallivanting for us. The young ones are going out - some to Edinburgh and some to Glasgow. They should have a great time.

Much the same as any other night ..... early to bed with a good book and trying to stop the dog having a heart attack when the fireworks start

I will be staying holding hands with my beloved, and wondering where all those happy years have gone.

Stay up to make sure the cats are ok with all the noise.

Always get a little maudlin on New Years Eve....better not drink any gin!

Well I have changed my mind about going out this evening. Far too cold and far too cosy indoors so that's where we shall be seeing the New Year in.
Starting on the Tia Maria, then Cointreau and Baily's.

We are staying up because my son has phoned to say that he will be ringing us at 2 minutes to 12 and will wait on line while Big Ben has finished chiming to wish us a Happy New Year.
He said he will be going out at 3am to pick my granddaughter up with two of her friends and her boyfriend because they will all be stopping at his home overnight. The young ones have gone to a New Year party at the local night club.
OH TO BE YOUNG AGAIN.
