Can you remember me telling you about the cyber friend in Australia I have been in contact with for some years and her dear hubby dying and how honoured I felt that she had a poem that I had written read out at his funeral?
Well he was an ex naval man and he served on the H.M.S Amethyst during the Yangste River incident many years ago and I can remember being told about Simon the cat so I found the story of him and thought other animal lovers might like to read it.

Yeah, I knew the Simon story, also knew French the telegraphist from the Amethyst, he was a PO instructor by that time. Nice bloke seemed to be.
