My routine Anya? Well I wake up at any time around 6.30. Make a cup of tea and go back to bed. Paper comes through letterbox between 7.0 and 8.0 am - get paper and go back to bed. Once paper is read I get up, feed cat and then make breakfast for myself (mostly porridge). Shower and dress.

After lunch, I go and lay on the bed and read or have a couple of hours sleep. Get up, feed cat and make my own dinner. Watch TV or use computer for a short while and go back to bed about 10.0 pm.

Just to keep you updated, I saw the consultant today. There is a small problem with the white blood cells (just possible anaemia I think) and she says that because I have responded so well to the treatment, she is going to postpone Chemo until a week later, on 17th August, to see if they will pick up.

Also, when I told her my method of getting rid of the queasy feeling when I put a meal on the table was to have a small glass of wine with my evening meals, she said "Oh no, you drink as much as you like!" (I'm still only having one glass though!)

I think in all it's been another positive step forward.

Rosemary - such good news and truly glad that you are doing so well. A glass of fine wine with your meal sounds excellent medicine, with or without the spoonful of sugar :grouphug: :grouphug:

Saw the consultant again yesterday and the bloods are fine again! She is very pleased and chemo will take place tomorrow.

I am remembering to take the anti-sickness pills today! It will be the same low dose again, so I don't anticipate a lot of problems.

Thanks everyone! Yes, the chemo was fine. Just a little tummy trouble as a side effect, but nothing I couldn't cope with. No sickness because I remembered to take the anti sickness pills for a few days, plus they put an anti sickness drug in through the cannula as well!

I now have 3 more monthly treatments to go and then the oncologist is going to consider more radiotherapy treatment.

Good you remembered the anti sickness pills - nothing worse than feeling nauseous all the time. :grouphug:
