news received re Boots

Had info this week re- an instore merger of Boots and Waitrose. Boots will retail some of Waitrose food, such as sandwiches etc and instore Waitrose will be some of Boots merchandise. Not sure that this is a good mix. Any comments. cheers Penny

I though Waitrose was part of the John Lewis group? so it seems a strange combination, however as Andy Hornby is head honcho at Boots nothing would surprise me, he's the crook who brought the Halifax to it's knees

Our local Waitrose has an in store pharmacy - recently it changed to Boots, so there must be some connection?

No doubts regardng the merger, double checked. Two or three London stores spreading as time goes on. I was thinking that with all this fast food about no one will be eating at home shortly. Can't be very good for the younger generation. eating, walking along the streets. Perhaps I am an old prude. cheers Penny
