The Soldier Bear.

I have been busy dusting my units out and I have a collection of wooden carved
animals from worldwide.
One is a lovely bear that was brought home for me from Russia who I named Bernie.
While dusting Bernie my thoughts turned to Voytek the soldier bear.

No I don't know but Fred Bear is looking a bit tatty though.

Just had it pointed out to me VM that he died in 1963.
Its in the article that I have put up but I must confess that I never read the article right through
because the postman has just been with a lovely surprise for me.
I wanted to read what was in the big envelope he had delivered from my favourite charity.
